Once upon a time in Mysuru
Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV, who presided over the royal seat between 1884 and 1940, spearheaded the rise of the Mysore silk sarees in mysore . Under his rule, the Government Silk Filature and Weaving Factory was set up in 1912 to bolster silk saree production in the region. Thus, the Mysore silk sarees were born.
